Bhubaneswar, May 11: The Income Tax (IT) officials on Thursday carried out raids on the properties of former Champua MLA Sanatan Mahakud over allegations of evading taxes.
As per reports, simultaneous raids are being carried out at 10 places associated with Mahakud in Bhubaneswar, Keonjhar, and Joda.
Raids are also being conducted at his residential house in Shaheed Nagar area of Bhubaneswar.
The raids are currently underway at his residential house in Shaheed Nagar area of Bhubaneswar, and office in Badhal area of Keonjhar.

Earlier in 2015, Mahakud, stated to be the richest MLA in Odisha, was under the scanner of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a multi-hundred crore illegal mining scam.
