Bhadrak, Aug 9: Tension prevailed at Charampa College in Odisha’s Bhadrak district after several students staged a protest alleging embezzlement of government funds on Wednesday.
As per reports, the students staged a road blockade by burning tyres. They alleged that no developmental work is being done in the college and accused the authorities of embezzling funds provided by the government for the work.
They also accused the Principal of not paying attention to the problems of the students.
Some non-students had thrashed several students of the college yesterday. We brought the incident to the knowledge of the principal. But he did not pay heed to the issue, alleged a protesting student.
