Puri, May 6: A treatment plant will soon be set up to produce water from Abadha gruel under the Puri Heritage Corridor Project.
The Abadha gruel will be treated in various processes to transform into pure water. A budget of around Rs 2.5 crore has been laid for the project.
The project is in the primary stage. The treatment plant will be set up within next two-three months, said a senior official of Odisha Bridge & Construction Corporation Limited.
The Abadha gruel from Shree Mandir Kitchen will reach the plant through underground channel. The plant will be set up behind South Mutt.
The gruel is now being treated near the South Mutt. However, the new effluent treatment plant will produce pure water from gruel through various technical procedures.
