Bhubaneswar, Jan 9: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated an exhibition, on the occasion of the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas celebrations in Bhubaneswar.
Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister remotely flagged-off the inaugural journey of the Pravasi Bharatiya Express, a special Tourist Train for the Indian diaspora, which will depart from the Nizamuddin Railway Station in Delhi and would travel to multiple destinations of tourism and religious importance in India for a period of three weeks.
The Pravasi Bharatiya Express will be conducted under the Pravasi Teertha Darshan Yojana.
Sharing a post on X, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister for Railways, Information and Broadcasting, Electronics and Information Technology wrote, "Dekho Apna Desh. PM @narendramodi Ji flagged off the inaugural journey of the Pravasi Bharatiya Express, a special Tourist Train for the Indian diaspora."
Earlier, PM Modi highlighted India's rapid progress in the 21st century, emphasising the country's potential to meet the global demand for skilled talent.
PM Modi also asserted that the Indian government considers it their "responsibility to help the diaspora during crisis situations."
"21st century India is progressing at an incredible speed and scale. For many decades to come, India will remain a country with the world's most young and skilled population. India will fulfill the world's demand for skilled talent India has the potential to fulfill the world's demand for skilled talent," he said.
