New Delhi, June 28: As many as 315 special trains will run through Odisha's Puri ahead of the Car Festival(Rath Yatra).
Union Minister for Railway, Ashwini Vaishnaw announced it on Friday.
While discussing with the Odisha CM and Deputy CMs in New Delhi today, A total of 315 special trains will pass through Puri from across the nation owing to the Puri Rath Yatra and Bahuda.
The special trains will serve visitors for their smooth movement from different cities and pilgrim places in India during the car festival, he said.
The development came up today after a meeting with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and his deputies KV Singhdeo and Pravati Parida, was held during their visit to Delhi.
During discussions, Vaishnaw also said that the Railway will make elaborate arrangements of tents to accommodate and shelter tens of thousands of visitors during the annual sojourn of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra.
