Ladakh , June 29: Five Indian Army personnel died after a tank they were travelling in got struck in the Shyok River in the eastern Ladakh on Friday night due to sudden increase in the water level , said the army.
“Indian Army regrets the loss of five brave personnel while being operationally deployed in the Eastern Ladakh. Rescue operations are underway” the statement added
In its official statement, the Indian Army said “ General Manoj Pande, COAS and all Ranks of INDIAN ARMY express heartfelt condolence on the loss of five soldiers who lost their lives during a training activities in Ladakh. Indian Army stands firm with the bereaved families in hour of grief” (ANI)
