Bengaluru (Karnataka), March 22: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has expressed deep concern over the ongoing violence against Hindus and other minority communities in Bangladesh, calling for solidarity with the Hindu society in the neighboring nation. The Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS), the highest decision-making body of RSS, described the oppression of minorities in Bangladesh as a serious violation of human rights.

A resolution passed by ABPS highlighted the growing and organized violence faced by Hindus and other minority groups at the hands of radical Islamist factions in Bangladesh. Arun Kumar, the RSS Sah Sarkaryawah, stated, “The ABPS expresses serious concern over the relentless and targeted violence, injustice, and oppression faced by the Hindu and other minority communities in Bangladesh. This constitutes a grave violation of human rights.”

The resolution also condemned what it called the Bangladeshi government's alleged support for the violence, warning that such actions could significantly harm relations between India and Bangladesh. “The support from governmental and institutional bodies for the violence and hatred witnessed in the past year is deeply troubling. Additionally, the ongoing anti-Bharat rhetoric in Bangladesh poses a serious threat to the bilateral relationship between the two countries,” the ABPS resolution noted.

ABPS further accused certain international forces of attempting to destabilize the region by creating distrust and hostility, pitting nations against each other. “We urge thought leaders and international relations experts to monitor these anti-Bharat sentiments and expose the activities of Pakistan and its deep state, which seek to undermine stability in the region,” the resolution continued.

The ABPS emphasized that the entire region shares a rich cultural, historical, and social legacy, and any disturbance in one country has far-reaching implications for the others. It called on all responsible individuals to work toward strengthening the shared legacy of Bharat and its neighboring nations.

The ABPS also urged the Indian government to take all necessary measures to ensure the protection, dignity, and well-being of the Hindu community in Bangladesh, advocating for continuous and constructive dialogue with the Bangladeshi government.
