Mumbai, January 19: A Mumbai court has granted a 5-day police custody for Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad (30), the man arrested in connection with the recent attack on actor Saif Ali Khan.
The court’s decision follows the prosecution's argument that the possibility of an international conspiracy cannot be ruled out in this case.
Shehzad, a Bangladeshi national residing illegally in India, was presented before a metropolitan magistrate in Bandra at around 1:30 pm. During the proceedings, the police emphasized the need to investigate the motive behind his attack on Khan and to explore any potential international connections to the incident.
