Sambalpur, Jan 13: Sambalpur is gearing up to launch its first-ever ‘Khao Gali.'
It is an initiative by the Sambalpur Municipal Corporation (SMC).
This project aims to relocate roadside food stalls to a designated area resulting in reducing traffic congestion while offering an upgraded dining experience for locals and visitors.
It will stretch from Jail Chowk to Municipality Chowk. The Deputy Commissioner of SMC, Shubhadipta Mohanty, confirmed that the much-anticipated ‘Khao Gali’ is expected to be inaugurated within a week.
The ‘Khao Gali’ will serve as a one-stop destination for food enthusiasts, featuring a variety of culinary options under one roof. Vendors who earlier operated from roadside locations will now have access to better infrastructure, ensuring improved hygiene and convenience.
Additionally, clearing roadside stalls will help ease traffic flow in the city, benefiting commuters.
