Sambalpur, Nov 30: Two coaches including the pantry car of Sambalpur–Jammu Tawi Express derailed at the Sambalpur Railway Station late last night.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the derailment as the train was empty during the mishap. As per reports, the mishap took place when the train was on its way to the car shed at Khetrajpur for washing after arriving at Sambalpur station. The pantry car and a coach adjacent to it derailed on the washing line in the Railway car shed. Following this, the concerned workers swung into action and brought the coaches back on tracks. The derailment had no impact on train as it resumed its journey this morning. The exact cause behind the derailment is yet to be ascertained.
The railways have begun a probe into the matter.
