Puri, Jan 12: Ahead of the inauguration of much awaited Heritage corridor project in Puri, Sand animator Manas Kumar Sahoo has created a short sand animation film based on the project.
In a 5-minute and 30-second animated film, the remarkable transformation of the surroundings of the famous temple, frequented by thousands of devotees daily, unfolds. This initiative, spearheaded by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, showcases the narrow roads, congestion caused by encroachments, and the unsightly presence of filth and garbage along the Bada Danda (Grand Road) leading to the temple. These issues, which previously caused discomfort for the devotees, have now been replaced with a spacious environment equipped with various amenities.
The animation portrays the enhancements, including Sri Setu, an AC terminal, modern toilets, an expansive parking system, and beautifully landscaped roads. As the film unfolds, Sahoo explains the motivations behind the state government's decision to undertake this ambitious project, aiming to elevate the pilgrim town into an international destination.
It took around 15 hours to make this animation film.
