New Delhi, Oct 21:The Supreme Court of India has stayed the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) recommendations to stop state funding to Madrassas and Madrassa boards for not complying with Right to Education(RTE) Act and children attending Madrasas be enrolled in formal schools.
Hearing pleas relating to allocation of state funds to the Madrassas and Madrassa Boards those flout Right to Education(RTE) Act norms and enrollment of students in formal schools, a Supreme Court Bench on Monday put the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights NCPCR’s recommendations on hold.
