Bhubaneswar, November 23: Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced today that 22% of the previously rejected Subhadra Yojana beneficiaries will receive financial assistance in the third phase, set to be credited directly to their bank accounts on November 24.
Parida revealed that the state government undertook a re-verification process for applications that were initially rejected. This effort aims to ensure that eligible beneficiaries are included in the scheme.
“Tomorrow, 22% of the 2.67 lakh rejected beneficiaries will receive ₹5,000 each. Reports for the remaining rejected applicants are being verified at the block level, and they will be added to the scheme subsequently. Additionally, all Anganwadi workers will also receive their first installment under the Subhadra Yojana tomorrow,” stated Parida.
The government has set a target of covering 1 crore beneficiaries under the scheme by December. The fourth phase of disbursement is scheduled for next month.
The Subhadra Yojana, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday, September 17, focuses on empowering women through financial assistance. Over 60 lakh women beneficiaries have already received aid in the first two phases of the scheme.
