Suresh Dev Datta Singh appointed as Commissioner of Police of twin city- Bhubaneswar-Cuttack

Bhubaneswar, Sept 29:  In a significant reshuffle of IPS officers by the Odisha government on Sunday,  Suresh Dev Datta Singh, a 1998-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the Commissioner of Police for the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack

 Singh previously served as the Additional D.G. of Police, CID-CB, Cuttack.

Outgoing Police Commissioner Sanjib Panda has been transferred to the role of ADG, Training and Director at BPSPA. 

Other notable appointments include A.K. Ray as D.G. of Prisons and Correctional Services, and Vinaytoish Mishra, who takes over Singh's previous role as Additional D.G. of Police, CID-CB, Cuttack.

Key changes also see R.P. Koche appointed as Director, of Intelligence, Odisha, and R.K. Sharma posted as Special Secretary in the Home Department. Several other senior officials have been given new responsibilities, including Arun Bothra as ADGP, Railways and Coastal Security, and Dayal Gangwar as ADGP, Headquarters.

Dr.Satyajit Naik, who is overseeing the communal tensions in Bhadrak, has been appointed as DIG, Eastern Range, Balasore, moving from his previous post as DIG, HRPC, Cuttack.
