Bhubaneswar, Oct 28: Temples and mutts will be developed under Debalaya Yojna, a new scheme scheduled to be rolled out soon said, Odisha Law Minister Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan on Monday.
The ‘Debalaya Yojana’ will help preserve the temples and mutts and address the issues pertaining to the functioning of religious institutions across the State, apart from mere repair works of the shrines.
Underlining the lapses of the Augmentation Basic Amenities and Development of Heritage and Architecture (ABADHA) Yojna, executed by the former BJD government Harichandan said that the ‘Debalaya Yojna’ will address many other issues faced by the temple authorities.
Harichandan further said, the ‘Debalaya Yojna’ which is in the pipeline, will be formally rolled out after blueprint for the same is prepared by the government departments.
The bluepring will lay emphasis on preserving and protecting the ancient shrines and their rich cultural heritages, the Minister added.
