Hyderabad, December 8: Three individuals linked to a film theatre in Hyderabad were arrested on Sunday in connection with the tragic death of a woman during the premiere of Allu Arjun's much-anticipated film, Pushpa 2.
The incident occurred on December 4, as a massive crowd gathered at Sandhya Theatre, leading to a chaotic situation.
The 35-year-old woman reportedly died of asphyxiation amidst the overwhelming rush, while her eight-year-old son sustained injuries and is currently hospitalized.
Following a complaint by the deceased woman’s family, police registered a case at the Chikkadpally police station against actor Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management. They were booked under Sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Investigations are underway to determine the responsibility for the tragic incident that marred the film’s grand premiere.
