Porbandar (Gujarat), Jan 5: In a tragic incident, an Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) operated by the Indian Coast Guard crashed in Gujarat's Porbandar killing three crew members onboard.
As per reports, the crash took place at the Indian Coast Guard’s Air Enclave during a routine flight. The chopper was engulfed in flames after it crashed in an open field.
The whole incident was caught on camera and the visuals showed the fiery wreckage.
Several others were injured in the crash and are currently receiving treatment at the local civil hospital.
The cause of the crash remains unclear, and authorities have launched an investigation to determine what went wrong.
The identities of the victims are yet to be ascertained and more details in this regard are awaited.
Notably, the ALH Dhruv is a key aircraft for India’s armed forces, often used for search and rescue missions and maritime law enforcement by the Coast Guard.
