Bhopal, January 20: Two Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) of Madhya Pradesh Police were suspended after a video surfaced showing them participating in a birthday celebration alongside an individual with a criminal history.
The officers, identified as Sunil Tomar and Jagdish Thakur, who were posted at the Nai Abadi police station, were suspended following the incident, according to Mandsaur Superintendent of Police Abhishek Anand.
The viral video shows the officers cutting a cake with a man named Pappu Dayma, who resides in Dodiyameena, under the jurisdiction of YD Nagar police station. Dayma has a documented criminal background. In response to the video, the two officers have been suspended, and Mandsaur's City Superintendent of Police has been directed to investigate the matter further.
