Pakistan, Nov 21: At least 32 people, including several women and children, were killed in two attacks in Pakistan's northwest, officials said Thursday.
Two explosions were reportedly triggered by terrorists in the Kurram district today.
"Two separate convoys of Shiite people were targeted by the terrorists in the Kurram district. In both incidents, at least 32 people, including women and children, were killed, while at least 13 others were left critical," Javed Ullah Mehsud, a senior Pak administration official mentioned.
Earlier on Wednesday at least 12 soldiers were killed in a bomber’s attack in Pakistan while six terrorists also died on the spot.
The incident was reported from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province today.
A suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a joint check post in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The army said the terrorists attempted to attack a joint check post in the general area MaliKhel in Bannu district late on Tuesday night but their attempt to enter the post was effectively thwarted by troops.
The suicide blast led to the collapse of a portion of the perimeter wall and damaged the adjoining infrastructure, resulting in the death of “12 brave sons of soil” including 10 soldiers of the security forces and two soldiers of the Frontier Constabulary, the ISPR said.
Later during the fire exchange, six of the terrorists were killed too.
