Bhubaneswar: Shahid Kapoor’s much awaited film Deva’s first motion poster was unveiled on the New Year Day. But it was not unveiled by Millennium star Amitabh Bachchan. Rather, it’s the vice versa.
The actor dropped the first poster of his upcoming film Deva on his Instagram. The post was captioned, "Lock n’ Load."
It was a motion poster where the actor is seen in a very daredevilry look smoking a cigarette with legendary star Amitabh Bacchan’s Deewar frame on the background – where Vijay (Amitabh Bachchan) in a daredevilry pose waited for the goons, smoking a cigarette.

DEVA CONNECTED TO DEEWAR?
The plot of the film Deva shows Shahid Kapoor a brilliant, but rebellious, cop who unravels a web of deceit and betrayal while investigating a high-profile case.
The plot seems no similarity with that of the plot of legendry film Deewar with an iconic performance by Amitabh Bachchan.
Moreover, there is a contrast to the pose Shahid has given in the released poster.
In Deewar, Amitabh Bachchan was seen seated sporting a blue shirt with cigaratte in mouth.
In Deva, with a bald look, Shahid Kapoor is seen dressed in a white shirt, partly-baring his bulked-up physique, showcasing locket around his neck.
The plot and the poster have little resemblances with Amitabh Bachchan’s classic movie – Deewar.

The Amitabh Bacchan’s Deewar frame in Shahid Kapoor’s Deva poster is due to this reason.
The actor shares that his major inspiration behind doing the action sequences in his upcoming movie has been megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
For which, the first poster has the frame of Amitabh’s Deewar.
The reason for Shahid making this Big B poster statement is to build up the excitement about his upcoming movie Deva that will hit the silver screens on Jan 31, 2025.
By putting the Deewar frame in Deva poster, the makers are trying to build up the expectations around the film. And keep the buzz travelling longer.
Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, the upcoming hard-core action entertainer features Pooja Hegde as the lead actress. Other actor who shares the spotlight in the film are Kubbra Sait and Pavail Gulati – both playing a pivotal role.
Presented by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films, it is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Umesh Kr Bansal. It will be released in theaters on January 31, 2025.
