Kendrapara, July 17: Children from villages around the Bhitarakanika National Park in Odisha’s Kendrapara district were on Cloud nine after they enjoyed a wonderful scene where a crocodile hatchling was found atop an electic pole on Wednesday.
The quite unusual and unprecedented scene went viral from the core crocodile cluster of Bhitarkanika as a hatchling came ashore from the sea, crossed the Patasala River, crawled across an intense traffic road to come atop the electric pole.
On being informed, a score of environmentalists with the help of wildlife officials, rescued the reptile from the powerline and released in its habitat.
