Bhubaneswar, April 18: The unscheduled closure of registration counters of Bhubaneswar AIIMS is brewing disgruntlement among patients and attendants.
The registration counters of the premier healthcare centre opens at 7.30 am. Over 200 patients and attendants wait in long queue since the wee hours. However, three counters remain closed almost every day out of total 13 following which some people rush to the counters meant for women and Divyangs.
The concerned persons of registration counters are allegedly not allowing people who have not registered themselves in ABHA App. As most of patients from West Bengal wait in queue for hours and find it difficult to communicate that erupts tension at the counters every day. The BSKY counter also remains closed most of the time.
Besides, there is no temporary shelter facility for OPD patients and attendants. They are forced to roam around the hospital premises and take rest under tree outside the campus.
