Bhubaneswar, March 28: A major fire broke out in a snacks factory in Bhubaneswar on Thursday after an LPG gas cylinder reportedly blew off all of a sudden.
The incident took place at Aurobinda Nagar of Palashpalli area under Airfield police station limits.
Sources said, a sudden fire broke out in the snacks (mudki) factory after an LPG cylinder caught fire and burst inside the factory. Subsequently, the flames caught the asbestos roof and turned the whole establishments into ashes.
On being informed, at least three fire service engines rushed to spot and initiated a dousing operation.
However, no causalities have been reported due to the fire. Property damage has not been estimated so far due to the mishap, source added.
