Bhubaneswar, Ap 20: The relentless heat wave conditions are expected to prevail in Odisha today.
However, there's a glimmer of hope as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts Nor’wester-triggered rainfall in several parts of the State between April 21 and 24. This anticipated rainfall offers a reprieve from the prevailing heat wave. The mercury soared in various areas of the State today, with Bhawanipatna registering the highest temperature of 35 degrees Celsius by 8:30 am. Following Bolangir ( 34.2), Rourkela at (33.4), Cuttack ( 33) and Bhubaneswar (32.2).
Worth mentioning, Boudh district saw the mercury climb to 44.3 degrees Celsius on Friday, making it the hottest spot in the State.
