Akhilesh Yadav predicts BJP's defeat due to public resentment

Lucknow, May 21: Speaking from the perspective of Samajwadi Party (SP), National President Akhilesh Yadav foresees a challenging path ahead for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Highlighting a growing dissatisfaction among the populace towards what he termed as the BJP's divisive politics, coupled with the PDA's commitment to upholding constitutional values, Yadav predicts a significant setback for the ruling party.

The acronym PDA, representing 'Pichhade' (Backward classes), Dalits, and 'Alpsankhyak' (Minorities), forms the cornerstone of SP's electoral strategy.

"People are transcending traditional barriers of caste and religion to voice their disapproval of the BJP's politics of hate and negativity. Such negativity, when propagated, eventually rebounds on its proponents," Yadav remarked in a statement.

Expressing the extent of public disillusionment, Yadav suggested that even if the BJP's tally were to be measured against the entire population of the country, it would fall short.

He predicted a forthcoming transformation in the Central government as well as its Cabinet ministers.

Yadav also criticized the government's approach, noting its silence on instances of question paper leaks in multiple recruitment exams. This, he claimed, indicated a deliberate effort to deprive the youth of job opportunities.

Asserting the importance of constitutional principles, Yadav accused the BJP of sidelining marginalized groups and undermining their rights. He positioned the SP and PDA as defenders of democracy and vowed that this collective commitment would translate into the BJP's electoral defeat.

On the economic front, Yadav debunked the BJP's claims of substantial investments and development initiatives, citing a lack of tangible progress on the ground.

Moreover, he highlighted the plight of farmers, who, despite promises of income doubling, have seen their debts escalate and incomes dwindle due to rising input costs.

Amidst rural distress and escalating unemployment, Yadav emphasized the prevailing sense of frustration driving voters towards alternative options, particularly the INDIA bloc.
