Bhubaneswar: Miscreants uproot SBI ATM, dump it in Gangua drain after stealing cash

Bhubaneswar, Jan 24: In a midnight heist, miscreants allegedly uprooted an SBI ATM at Samantarapur Chhak in the capital city Bhubaneswar and dumped the machine in Gangua drain after stealing cash from it.
As per reports, some robbers arrived at the ATM counter in an auto-rickshaw last night and uprooted the entire machine in a bid to loot cash. Thereafter, they fled from the spot.
Later, they looted cash from the ATM and threw it in Gangua drain. They left the three-wheeler and escaped from the spot.
The exact amount of money stolen is yet to be ascertained.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the scene and seized the damaged ATM along with the auto-rickshaw.
The police have initiated an investigation into the matter to determine whether the crime was carried out by a local robber gang or one from outside the state.
