Bhubaneswar, April 22: The Communist Party of India (CPI) on Monday released the 2nd list of its candidates for a Lok Sabha and 11 Assembly seats in Odisha.
State General Secretary Abhay Sahu informed it today at a press conference in Bhubaneswar.
According to Sahu, the party has nominated Ramesh Chandra Sethi as its candidate for Lok Sabha elections to Jagatsinghpur constituency.
Among the nominees for the Assembly seats, Gurunath Pradhan has been fielded from Chhatrapur, Rajendra Nayak from Sundargarh, Abhijit Sahu from Balikuda-Ersama and Ramesh Chandra Tripathy has been fielded from the Brajrajngar segment.
Similarly, Jinmayee Sahani will contest from the Paradip assembly segment, Prabin Das from Kabisuryanagar, Ajay Patnaik from Nilagiri, Sankarsan Barik from Bhubaneswar North, Manoj Parida from Nimapara, Kumar Jani from Laxmipur and Pandav Bhoi will contest from the Kantabanji Kantabanji assembly constituency.
Earlier, the CPI(M) had announced its candidates for one Lok Sabha and seven Assembly constituencies in Odisha.
