Mumbai, January 16: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan underwent surgery at a Mumbai hospital on Thursday to have a knife removed from his spine after being attacked by an intruder at his home. The actor is now "out of danger," according to medical professionals.
Khan, 54, is on the road to recovery after the emergency surgery, which took place at Lilavati Hospital. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. at Khan's residence in the 'Satguru Sharan' building.
Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Chief Operating Officer of Lilavati Hospital, addressed the media and confirmed, "We successfully removed a 2.5-inch piece of knife from his spine."
