Durga Puja is a major Hindu festival celebrated with great enthusiasm, especially in West Bengal, India, and among Bengali communities worldwide.
It marks the beginning of the main rituals associated with Durga Puja. On this day, the "pran pratishtha" ceremony takes place, which involves invoking the presence of Goddess Durga into the idol (murti) and formally beginning her worship. Various rituals, pujas, and cultural programs are held at the pandals (temporary temples) where the Durga idols are installed.
Devotees gather to offer their prayers and seek the blessings of Goddess Durga for health, prosperity, and protection from evil forces. The festivities continue through the remaining days of Durga Puja, culminating with the immersion of the Durga idols on Vijayadashami, the tenth day of the festival.
"Subha Saptami" signifies an auspicious and important day during Durga Puja 2023, filled with religious and cultural activities to honor the goddess. It's a time of joy, devotion, and celebration for those who observe this festival.
