Malkangiri, January 12: The Malkangiri police in Odisha unearthed a huge cache of Maoist dumps including arms and ammunition on Sunday.
The recovery include a sophisticated self-loading rifle (SLR), live ammunition, mobile phones, backpacks, and other Maoist related items.
The operation, which took place in the Jinalguda area under the Motu police station, led to a tremendous achievement for the security personnel.
Malkangiri SP V. Sharma informed that the search operation was launched yesterday in the Jinalguda forest based on reliable input. SLR rifle with sling, magazine, ammunition charger clip and other articles have been seized from the Maoist dump.
