Bhubaneswar, January 21: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a rise in night temperatures across Odisha starting January 23.
Post-Makar Sankranti, the state's night temperatures are expected to increase by 2°C to 3°C due to a potential low-pressure area forming over the Bay of Bengal. This development is likely to elevate atmospheric moisture levels, leading to dense fog in several regions of the state.
The winter chill is anticipated to subside gradually, influenced by western disturbances in the northwestern part of India. Despite the rise in temperatures, moderate to dense fog is expected to persist in many areas during this period.
Meanwhile, the IMD has predicted clear skies for Bhubaneswar and its surroundings over the next 24 hours.
