New Delhi, May 30: In a bid to rally support ahead of the seventh phase of the Lok Sabha elections on June 1, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has penned a heartfelt letter to the first-time voters of Varanasi, urging them to actively participate in the democratic process.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has mobilized its workers to deliver these personalized letters, along with felicitation notes, to the doorsteps of each first-time voter in Varanasi.

With a significant 31,538 first-time voters in Varanasi, PM Modi's letter carries a weighty message. "Greetings to you, as Pradhan Sevak of Bharat and your Parliamentarian, today, I am writing to you with full pride and confidence," the letter begins, highlighting the importance of exercising one's democratic right. "This opportunity to participate in the democratic process is a privilege which will witness your participation in nation-building because democracy is not only a form of governance but also the 'adharshila' (cornerstone) of our Independence," it continues.

PM Modi underscores the transformative development witnessed by Varanasi over the past decade, emphasizing the pivotal role young voters play in shaping the nation's future.

 

The distribution of these letters is being overseen by Kashi region BJP's OBC Morcha Vice-President Somnath Vishwakarma and his team. Vishwakarma confirms that along with the letters, felicitation notes from the Prime Minister are also being handed out to these first-time voters.
