Balangir, Sept 4: In an acute distress of joblessness and unemployment in the lush green state of Haryana, at least 60,000 Postgraduates are on the queue of applicants for a sweeper posts.
Apart from it, at least 39,990 graduates and around 1.2 lakh undergraduates are among the lakh aspirants for a contractual sweepers’ post through Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam Limited (HKRN), the state government’s agency for outsourcing jobs.
Sources said,the applicants are from a variety of streams including Science and Commerce having good academic careers. Against a monthly salary of Rs 15,000, the posts are for sweeping and cleaning government offices, boards, corporations, and civic bodies.
Besides the sweeper recruitment, thousands of meritorious graduates and postgraduates have reportedly applied for the post of sanitation workers and other meager- salaried D-grade jobs.
