Bhubaneswar, Ap 18: Renowned Odia actress Naina Dash will soon work in a movie based on Nagada issue. She along with producer Dr. Abhay Pati, two sisters Asmita Pati and Anshu Tripathi recently embarked on a visit to Nagada in Jajpur district, which has been thrust into the limelight due to malnutrition concerns among its residents to assess the prevailing situation and explore the possibility of shedding light on the issues through cinema. During their visit, they delved into the customs, traditions, social system, and lifestyle of the Juanga tribe, residing in Upara, Majhi, and Tala Nagada. Interacting closely with the locals, they discussed the multifaceted challenges faced by the community, including health issues among children.
Dash emphasized that the forthcoming film will primarily highlight the natural beauty of Nagada and the rich cultural heritage of its residents. Nagada, nestled amidst mountainous forests in Jajpur district, serves as a habitat for the Juang Primitive Tribal Groups and has drawn attention due to its prevailing malnutrition crisis and inadequate government facilities.
