Puri, March 24: In a bizarre incident, at least 20 Kg gold jewellery with a huge cache of cash was reportedly seized in Puri on Monday from the possession of a woman.
Police unearthed the illegal treasure late at night while conducted a raid based on a chit fund allegation.
According to reports, a section of the Chandanpur Police conducted a surprise raid in a woman’s house, relating to a fraudulence transaction. Meanwhile, a box filled with gold ornaments & a hefty amount of cash was recovered from the possession of the woman. Apart from it, the police reportedly seized some documents like bank deeds from the bag.
