Bhubaneswar, July 30: As many as 2,54,672 slum dwellers have been settled under the ‘Jaga Mission’ scheme of the Odisha government.
It’s with allocating Land Rights (Land Right Certificates and Land Entitlement Certificates) to the beneficiaries, said Housing & Urban Development (H&UD) Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra on Tuesday.
Replying to a question by BJD MLA Aswini Kumar Patra, the H&UD Minister said in the Odisha Assembly that grant of land right certificates and land entitlement certificates to as many as 2,54,672 slum dwellers in urban areas of the state have been approved by the department.
Process is underway to grant Land rights to the remaining slum dwellers, fulfilling the criterion, Mahapatra added.
