Cuttack, Aug 7: Vigilance officials on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids at eight locations linked to Pradeep Kumar Sahu, the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Athagarh, following allegations of accumulating assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
According to sources, multiple teams from the anti-corruption agency searched properties belonging to Sahu and his relatives in Bhubaneswar, Khordha, Nayagarh, and Athagarh in Cuttack.
The Vigilance team, comprising six Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), six Inspectors, ten Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), and additional staff, carried out the searches under warrants issued by the Special Judge of Vigilance in Bhubaneswar. Sources indicated that the team discovered significant documents during the operation.
