Bhubaneswar, Aug 17: At a time when Mohan Majhi led Odisha government organized a training program for the newly elected Legislators today, the prime opposition Biju Janata Dal(BJD) said no to attend it.
The BJD scheduled a parallel breakthrough session for its elects on August 25, said Deputy Chief Whip of the party, Pratap Deb.
Elaborating the blueprint of the proposed training Deb said that the program will be an academic session involving experienced parliamentarians and senior MLAs of the party who will impart lessons from their experiences and achievements.However, he termed today’s training organized at the Odisha Assembly, is disregard to the state and the dignity of the Chief Minister.
Similarly, newly elect BJD Legislator Sarada Prasanna Jena said, today’s training program, meant for the MLAs is not a government program rather a political agenda of BJP. It tarnishes the significance of Odisha Legisative Assembly.
Congress on the other hand, has boycotted the training program of the government ‘Gyan Sanskar’ terming it a BJP venture.
