Cash Discovery Controversy: SC's in-house committee begins investigation

New Delhi, March 25: The three-member in-house committee appointed by the Supreme Court began its inquiry into the alleged cash discovery involving Delhi High Court judge, Justice Yashwant Varma, on Tuesday.

The committee, consisting of Justice Sheel Nagu, Chief Justice of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Justice G S Sandhawalia, Chief Justice of the High Court of Himachal Pradesh, and Anu Sivaraman, Judge of the High Court of Karnataka, visited Justice Varma’s official residence at 30, Tughlak Crescent in New Delhi.

 It is said that the committee members spent approximately 30-35 minutes at the residence, where they seemingly conducted an inspection of the premises.
