Bhadrak, Aug 22: Bhadrak police on Thursday busted a suspected cybercrime hub from the Bhadrak town on Thursday with seizure of a huge cache of illegal SIM cards.
Two youths were detained in this connection whereas other associates narrowly escaped from the hub.
According to reports, sleuths of the Bhadrak police led by city DSP Ansuman Dwibedi conducted a raid in two houses at Acharya Nagar area over suspicion of a cybercrime racket functioning here.
During the raid, hundreds of illegal SIM cards, bank passbooks, cheque books, ATM cards, with some vehicle registration number plates were recovered from the rooms,Dwibedy said.
Further investigation into the matter is underway and effort is on to identify the youths from the CCTV footage who are on the run, the DSP added.
