Bhopal, February 24: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during the inaugural session of the Madhya Pradesh Global Investment Summit (GIS) in Bhopal on Monday, emphasized that "education is the biggest investment in life."
He explained that his delayed arrival at the summit was due to the ongoing Madhya Pradesh board exams for Class 10th and 12th students. "I learned that the exams were scheduled at the same time as my departure for the GIS event. I didn’t want the students to be caught in traffic, so I adjusted my schedule to ensure they weren't inconvenienced," PM Modi shared. He continued, stressing the importance of not allowing education to be disrupted in any way, as it is a crucial investment in a person’s future.
This thoughtful gesture not only resonated with those in attendance but also with the millions who watched the live broadcast. PM Modi had initially planned to leave Raj Bhavan at 9:45 a.m. for the GIS event at the Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya but delayed his departure until 10 a.m. to accommodate the exam schedule, as confirmed by an official.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav praised PM Modi for his sensitivity toward students' futures. "He consistently shows concern for the well-being and future of students, boosting their morale through various initiatives," Yadav remarked.
During the summit, PM Modi launched a new investment policy crafted by the Madhya Pradesh government under Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s leadership. The policy aims to attract investors by offering incentives and fostering an "ease of doing business" environment.
Additionally, the Prime Minister unveiled over 18 new state policies, covering areas such as industries, food, export, MSMEs, start-ups, semiconductor technologies, drones, tourism, and film production.
In his address, PM Modi highlighted Madhya Pradesh's transformation into a future-ready state, now offering enhanced investment opportunities across diverse sectors. He urged industrialists to invest in the state, assuring them that Madhya Pradesh would yield excellent returns.
