Sundargarh, July 1: In another incident of human-animal conlict, an youth was trampled to death by a wild elephant at Jharipani slum under the Koida forest range in Sundargarh district early this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Samuel Sainda.
Sainda had gone to attend nature’s call when the jumbo suddenly appeared and trampled him. The elephant also pressed him under its feet, informed sources.
Being informed, forest officials with local police reached the spot, seized the body and started investigation into the incident.
