Cuttack, August 16: Cuttack SP on Wednesday ordered a probe into the viral video case that reportedly caused the death of a minor girl in the Mahanga area.
An Additional SP (ASP) began an investigation into the matter, said sources.
Worth mentioning, a minor girl student allegedly committed suicide after one of her friends secretly clicked her obscene pictures and shared them with her male friends in the Mahanga area of Odisha’s Cuttack.

After getting obscene pictures of the girl student, some youths called her and started blackmailing her. They also forced the victim to keep a physical relationship with them and threatened her to make the photos viral on social media if she refuses.
Unable to bear the blackmail and fearing public humiliation, she committed suicide.
Acting on the complaints of the victim’s family members, the cops arrested seven persons including the alleged friend, and forwarded them to court.
