Bengaluru, Ap 25: The Election Commission in Karnataka wants to make sure everyone can vote in the Lok Sabha elections. They're setting up 1,832 special polling booths to help different groups like tribals, women, and people with disabilities. The Department of Scheduled Tribes is working with the Election Commission to create 40 special polling booths inspired by tribal culture. These booths will be in different places like Chamarajanagar, Mysuru, and Dakshina Kannada.

There will also be special booths for young people, women, and people with disabilities all over Karnataka. The Chief Electoral Officer, Manoj Kumar Meena, says they want the elections to feel like a festival. They're setting up these special booths to get more people to vote, as part of the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program.

To encourage more women to vote, they're creating 1,120 Sakhi polling booths run entirely by women. Each Assembly constituency will have at least five Sakhi booths. They're also making sure people with disabilities can vote by setting up one special booth in each Assembly constituency. These booths will be run by specially-abled officers and staff.

Young officers and staff will manage one polling booth in each constituency. And there will be at least one booth in each constituency that reflects the local culture and specialties.
