Man kills widow, surrenders before police in Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack, Aug 17: A man surrendered before police after killing a widow at Panchagaon village under Tigiria police limits in Odisha’s Cuttack district on Friday night.
The accused identified as Kartik Sethi (35), a resident of the same village.
According to the information, Kartik, who had been living in the widow's house since he was around 10 and working as a maid, had a heated argument with her. In the ensuing conflict, he fatally slit her throat. After the murder, Kartik surrendered himself at the Tigiria police station, where he was detained.
Meanwhile, police seized the body and started investigation about the exact motive behind the incident.
