Cuttack, Dec 15: The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) has initiated an instant probe into the MoBus fire, took place in Cuttack city on Saturday.
The CRUT has constituted a fact finding team soon after the mishap while a technical team led by the Deputy Commissioner of Transport reached the spot to study the technical glitches that led the vehicle to spark fire from its engine.
Soon after the mishap, Dr. Thirumala Naik, Managing Director of CRUT along with its General Manager, Sanjay Biswal, and other senior officials visited the site of the tragedy to take stock of the situation and ordered a probe into the mishap.
According to a press release issued by the CRUT, as a cautionary measure, a fact-finding committee headed by the Deputy Commissioner of Transport has headed for the spot for preliminary investigation.
The probe team includes a Motor Vehicle Inspector, CRUT’s Manager of Operations and Depot, and the bus operator, stated the press release.
Worth mentioning, the Mo Bus bearing Regd. No OD-33- U- 7111 was entirely gutted to debris following a fire sparked up from its engine at the Khapuria-Madhupatna Square in the Cuttack City on Saturday evening.
