Puri, July 1: Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan said on Monday that no VIP entry will be allowed at the Puri Jagannath Temple during the Rath Yatra.
Chief Minister Mohan Majhi will review all aspects of the festival at a crucial meeting scheduled for tomorrow.
“This time, priority is being given to discipline, providing minimum amenities for women, and resolving issues related to VIP movement, which usually create problems during the conduct of Rath Yatra rituals,” Harichandan stated.
He added that the servitors have assured full cooperation in the conduct of the Rath Yatra and have committed to ensuring no crowding on the chariots, which could hinder the darshan of the deities.
Additionally, it is noteworthy that President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to participate in the Rath Yatra celebrations in Puri. She will also take part in other programmes during her visit to Odisha, starting from July 6.
