Bhubaneswar, July 25: The Odisha government launched Madho Singh Haath Kharcha Yojana 2024 for tribal students of the state.
CM Mohan Charan Majhi has announced this in his budget speech delivered in the state assembly.
Odisha government has allocated Rs 5000 crore for this new scheme.
Under this scheme, the state government will provide financial assistance of INR 5000 crore to all the tribal students who are studying in class IX and X in the state.
The main aim of launching this scheme is to check the dropout among the students who belong to the tribal communities in the state.
The financial assistance of INR 5000 will be transferred directly to beneficiary student’s bank account annually.
