Bhubaneswar, Dec 26: Ahead of the New Year 2025, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday unveiled both desktop and wall-hanging calendars published by the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA).
The calendars, adorned with stunning photographs of Lord Jagannath, were released in the presence of Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan, Chief Secretary Manoj Aguja, and SJTA Chief Administrator Arabinda Padhee.
The desktop calendar highlights captivating artwork and sand art created by talented artists from across the state of Odisha. The first copy of the calendar was ceremonially offered to Lord Jagannath at the iconic 12th-century Shri Jagannath Temple in Puri. The calendar features a blend of creative works, including sand art and visual art by renowned Odia artists.
Meanwhile, the seven-page wall calendar showcases striking images of Lord Jagannath on His chariot, a central figure in the grand Rath Yatra festival. Both calendars aim to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Odisha while promoting the artistic achievements of local creators.
These calendars will be available for purchase at the Srimandir Information Centres in Puri and Bhubaneswar, as per an official release. The SJTA hopes the release of the calendars will not only enhance the spiritual experience of devotees but also support and promote Odia art and culture.
