Bhubaneswar, Dec 26: Odisha's outgoing Governor, Raghubar Das, was accorded a Guard of Honour on Thursday as he bid farewell to the state, following the acceptance of his resignation by President Droupadi Murmu on December 24. He will be succeeded by Hari Babu Kambhampati, the current Governor of Mizoram.
Reflecting on his 14-month tenure, Raghubar Das expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve the people of Odisha.
The outgoing Governor also thanked President Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Home Minister Amit Shah for giving him the chance to serve Odisha.
Accompanying Governor Das to Bhubaneswar Airport were Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Speaker of the Assembly Surama Padhy, state ministers, and other dignitaries, who were present to bid him farewell.
